The case of the "La Pascualita" mannequin is one of the paranormal (real) stories that frightens even the most skeptical in these matters. It is about a beautiful woman who, after dying, was turned into a mannequin and is in the shop window of a local of clothes.

As the story goes, on March 25, 1930, just as the Day of the Incarnation is being celebrated, a beautiful mannequin arrived in Chihuahua, Mexico. The uncanny resemblance of this doll to a real person was creepy. The mannequin was brought from France on behalf of Pascualita Esparza Perales de Pérez who, at that time, was in charge of the clothing store called La Popular.

The details of her hands, the features of her face, the worn nails, the tips of her fingers, her eyes that seemed to give her life and a very particular resemblance to the deceased daughter of Esparza Perales de Pérez (the owner of the clothing store La Popular and mother of "Pascualita"), made it difficult for many people to look at her closely, because of the chills she caused.

Store staff and passers-by visiting the city began creating stories about the mannequin. One of the best known is that the model displayed in the window is a corpse.

The community became suspicious and warned that the details of the mannequin were almost real, since his face had certain wrinkles and his hands even had fingerprints.

The story says that Pascualita was the daughter of Esparza Perales de Pérez, a beautiful young woman, who was going to get married, but she died the same day of her wedding, when she was stung by a scorpion. Her mother couldn't be separated from her, so he decided to embalm her and put her in the window of her store. Despite the fact that, over the years, the clothing store changed hands, all the owners left the Pascualita mannequin in their window. Thus, the counter of La Popular became one of the great attractions of the city. Pascualita gave “life” to the neighborhood with her mysterious presence.

The Chihuahua community decided that La Pascualita was not a horror story, but rather a work that they should take care of. The display case is still intact and attracts hundreds of visitors who check for themselves the real details of this mannequin that, apparently, is an embalmed corpse.

According to popular legend, if a woman passes by the store on her wedding day and if she buys the dress that mannequin is wearing, she will bring her good luck throughout her marriage. Believe or burst.
