Ryan Gosling aims to be Ken on Barbie's tape with Margot Robbie

Ryan Gosling is negotiating his incorporation into the film about Barbie that will star in Margot Robbie and will direct Greta Gerwig, the Deadline portal reported Friday.

If the conversations come to fruition, Gosling will give life to Ken and thus join the cast of this film, written by Gerwig with his partner, also the filmmaker Noah Baumbach.

Gosling, one of Hollywood's most sought -after actors today, was a candidate for the Oscar for "Half Nelson" (2006) and "La La Land" (2016).

The actor would make a duo with Robbie, who will give life to Barbie and that is another name in capital letters in American cinema at the moment.

Oscar nominated for best actress for "I, Tonya" (2017) and the best cast actress for "Bombshell" (2019), Robbie will also be a producer of the film about Barbie.

The film project on the famous doll has been in development in Hollywood for years.

First he was linked to the Sony studio, which in 2014 reached an agreement with Mattel to address this film adaptation.

In 2016 it was learned that Amy Schumer was chosen by Sony to star.

The following year, Schumer resigned from this tape due to agenda problems.

In July 2017, Anne Hathaway entered the scene, who had conversations with Sony to replace Schumer.

Subsequently, the study delayed the premiere of this film from August 2018 to May 2020.

However, Sony's agreement to bring Barbie's character to the cinema expired in 2018, so Mattel is now working with Warner Bros to associate and get this feature film to be a reality with an approach that will be different from that of the initial initial project.

The film is planned in 2022.

Gerwig and Baumbach are two of the most admired personalities of the current independent cinema in the US.UU.And they have worked together several times.

For example, Gerwig star.

Gerwig has been nominated three times for Oscar: Best original script and best address for "Lady Bird" (2017) and best script adapted by "Little Women" (2019).

For its part, Baumbach's filmography as a filmmaker includes films such as "The Squid and The Whale (2005), for which she was a candidate for the Oscar for the best original script;and "Marriage Story" (2019), for which he opted for the statuette for the best film and the best original script.
