Día de la Constitución rusa. En 1993, tras el colapso soviético, se aprobó por votación popular la primera constitución de la Federación Rusa. Por ello, hoy en día es un día festivo.

La huida más atrevida de la URSS: en 1974, el oceanógrafo Stanislav Kurilov saltó de un crucero y nadó 100 km (!) hasta ponerse a salvo. ¡Por no tener que huir de la propia patria!

December 14th

En 1943 se aprueba el nuevo himno nacional soviético. La letra fue escrita por Serguéi Mijalkov y Gabriel El-Registan, la música por Alexander Alexandrov. La fuerza de la partitura de Alexandrov hace que uno se ponga de pie y levante una copa, sólo hay que escucharla.

Día del Recuerdo de los Periodistas Muertos en Cumplimiento del Deber. ¡Brindamos solemnemente por el respeto y la solidaridad!

16 de diciembre

Día de Iván Molchalnik (San Juan el Silencioso), o Día del Silencio. Una superstición popular dice que si se habla menos en este día, se será bendecido con elocuencia durante el resto del año. ¡Por el sonido del silencio!

Este día nació la poeta y niña prodigio Nika Turbina. ¡Por todas las personas con talento!

Dec. 18

En 1892 se estrenó en San Petersburgo el legendario ballet El Cascanueces de Piotr Tchaikovski. Desde entonces, cualquier referencia a este personaje de cuento evoca siempre el espíritu y la magia de la Navidad y el Año Nuevo. ¡Por las próximas fiestas!

Decembre 19th

En 1906 nació Leonid Brezhnev, líder soviético de 1964 a 1982. Su nombre se asocia hoy con el estancamiento económico, pero también con la nostalgia de tiempos aparentemente más inocentes.

En 1991, la Unión Soviética dejó de existir. Algunos lloran la pérdida, mientras que otros se alegran de haber visto el final de una pesadilla de 70 años.

Brindemos (sin chocar las copas en señal de respeto) por el poeta Serguéi Yesenin, que murió este día en 1925 (oficialmente registrado como suicidio).

Catalina la Grande introdujo el papel moneda en Rusia en 1768. ¡Por la impresión de dinero!

En 1922 se crea la URSS. Noventa y nueve años después, todavía hay muchos admiradores dispuestos a brindar por su imperecedero recuerdo.

Hoy no hay mucho que hacer... Es una broma. Desde por la mañana, el día se dedica a hacer ensaladas, cocinar carne en gelatina y preparar la mesa festiva. O, como el antihéroe de la clásica película soviética de Año Nuevo La ironía del destino, con los amigos. Pero ten cuidado: ¡no te subas accidentalmente a un avión con destino a Leningrado!
