Singer Julio Iglesias has made some unexpected statements to stop the rumors about his poor health at the age of 77. These rumors have once again brought to light the debate on inheritance and Cierre Digital points out that the day the singer's non-legitimate son, Javier Santos, dies, he could receive 40 million euros.

Julio Iglesias has written a statement on social media to silence rumors about his health. The singer who is about to turn 78 years old has commented that “of course my back hurts as it always has, of course I have less strength than I had before. Of course, I am going to be 78 years old and not even a great athlete can be asked that at 78 years old he can do sports in the same way that he did at 20.”

These rumors, on the other hand, have reactivated the issue of the artist's inheritance. And it is that during his life the singer has obtained a great heritage to which eight await him, nine if his non-legitimate son is included, Javier Santos. Although in a talk that Iglesias has offered to his friend Jaime Peñafiel in the newspaper El Mundo, the singer has stated that "Those who are waiting for my death to inherit, which is the only thing they want, keep waiting."

The artist maintains a very good relationship with his eight children from his marriages to Miranda Rijnsburger and Isabel Preysler. But his relationship with Javier Santos is null and he only limits himself to the judicial aspect.

The fact is that, taking into account that the artist's assets are around a billion euros, his heirs will receive a minimum of 33%. This assets is made up of companies, properties, companies and investment groups. But the most important part of the artist is the royalties that he has generated during his musical career.

The day the singer dies, legally, Javier Santos could receive a part of the inheritance valued at almost 40 million euros (according to Cierre Digital). And besides, he could start using the last name that the singer has always denied him.

The DNA confirms the relationship

Although Julio Iglesias has not publicly confirmed the relationship between the two, the DNA proves Santos is right. The right of unrecognized children has the nature of natural, international and constitutional law, so in matters of inheritance, Julio Iglesias has the odds to lose.

The DNA test is confirmed, since according to Javier Santos' lawyer, the test was obtained from a bottle of water that Julio José Iglesias dropped from the car during a day at the beach. However, legally a Supreme Court ruling has rejected the case on Javier's paternity and Santos' lawyer accuses that this rejection is violating the rights of his client and that they will continue with the fight. So surely this topic will continue to give a lot to talk about yet.
